Our Mission

At Prose Justice, we are dedicated to ensuring that immigrant families can maintain connections with their loved ones by providing reliable transportation to detention centers.

Empowering Immigrant Families

Prose Justice exists to close the gap between people in crisis and the systems they are forced to navigate. Our mission is to provide practical, compassionate, and dignified support to individuals and families impacted by detention, immigration enforcement, and complex civil and administrative processes—so no one is left isolated simply because they lack access, transportation, or guidance.

We operate through community-based, non-legal programs that address real-world barriers. Our flagship initiative, Immigration Detention Support Network (IDSN), focuses on one essential but often overlooked need: keeping families connected. IDSN provides transportation assistance that allows families to visit loved ones held in detention facilities, helping preserve family bonds, emotional stability, and human dignity during an extremely destabilizing time. By removing logistical barriers, we reduce isolation and strengthen families’ ability to endure and navigate prolonged legal processes.

Alongside IDSN, Pro Se Advocate (PA) supports individuals who are navigating civil, administrative, or immigration-related processes without legal representation. PA does not replace attorneys or provide legal advice; instead, it helps people understand procedures, organize documents, complete forms, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with agencies and service providers. This practical support prevents small administrative failures from turning into life-altering consequences.

Our Family Support Services program ties these efforts together by helping families understand systems they never expected to confront. We assist families in navigating agency requirements, accessing resources, maintaining stability, and staying engaged rather than overwhelmed. Our approach recognizes that when one person is detained or entangled in a system, entire families are affected—and supporting the family unit is essential to long-term stability.

Prose Justice is designed to be scalable, collaborative, and community-driven. We partner with nonprofits, service providers, advocacy groups, and local stakeholders to ensure our programs complement existing services rather than duplicate them. While our initial launch focuses on key cities, our model is built to expand nationally, responding to communities most impacted by detention and system-related barriers.

At its core, Prose Justice is about restoring access where systems have created distance—and ensuring that dignity, connection, and support remain possible even in the most challenging circumstances.
